now my judgment might be biased and i haven't read the novel yet but I am reading the french version this year so yea my opinion might chANGE next time I rewatch it now I love this anime because of nostalgic it is to me and I did quite cry a lot the sounds track is amazing its just a shame that the opening and ending are the same there still really its just a shame they had such a small bugjet the animation is very wack to say the least it is very beautiful at the time but something it just feels flatthe watercolor background are always a good point

now I know the main story of less miserable focuses on Fantine rather than Cosette and it a lot darker than the anime but tbh it has quite a lot of drama for a kids show

still a very good show and was very enjoyable tho it is not for everybody
