A long time classic of my childhood, which I appreciated very much thanks to a great epic story based on Greek myths, along with some of the best characters I have ever seen in terms of visual art, especially when it comes to the so called 12 Gold Knights and their amazing gold armours, depicted in such fine details. The same is for the iconic 5 bronze armoured protagonists and the various secondary characters. It’s not a case that even after 30 years, the action figures of this anime continue to be widely sold and to be very expensive as well (both the so calledVintage and Myth EX).

The epic battle of the 12 Houses against Seiya and its companions is some of the most memorable story I have ever watched still nowadays thanks to its dark and mysterious atmosphere of its locations. In Italy in particular, Saint Seiya was also appreciated for its great and poetic dub. All in all, a long time classic of the ‘80s and for me a great milestone of the anime of this period!
