Review of High School DxD
Great. Just, great. Highschool DxD, a famous ecchi/harem anime really made me gasp and invested me in all the conflicts and humour they threw in my face through all the 12 episodes of the show. What this anime succeeded in doing, but many other ecchi anime failed in doing is delivering actual plot (not that kind of plot you pervs) and emotions. Story: Outstanding. Main character, Issei, gets killed and turns into a demon, this being a start of his new life as a part of house/clan (I don't really know what to call it) Gremory. There are many demon anime out there, but this onefeels a little special in all the ways it goes deep into the lore and nature of demons, while keeping it's lighthearted and ecchi tone in the process. Great!
Art: Awesome. That's all.
Sound: Very good. I loooove both the opening and ending themes and think the singer has a beautiful voice. I prefer the op tho, it's just so awesome and badass.
Character: Issei is awesome. He may seem like a standard perv protagonist (which he is), but through the series it shows that his personality is far more then that. All other characters are in the same way, and special in their own ways, making them all really enjoyable to watch. They can be assholes something tho, and their perviness can be a little over-the-top, but that's just a minor nitpick.
Enjoyment: GREAT! From art, sound to enjoyable and downright adorable characters, this series made something that would seem boring and cliche into a very special and magical anime. I'll definitely read the light novel next!
