Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion. What a ride. Prior to watching this I was never touched by a media in such a way. Evangelion is in no means a masterpiece on it's own. It has flaws, but these flaws depend on the viewer. I watched Evangelion at a pretty low point in my life. For the first time watching this show, I felt like I could relate to a character so much, that character being Shinji Ikari. I saw a part of me inside him. And this is why for me, Evangelion is a masterpiece. Because it's had an effect on me. This could also be luck,but after finishing Eva my life kinda got better. I was happier, and it was in some part thanks to eva because it told me that loving yourself is important. All these circumstances influenced my opinion of this series, tho it is understandable why some people do not think like me. If you came to watch giant robots fight giant monsters, you might not be satisfied by this show, unless you happen to also relate to these characters.
I highly suggest watching this anime.
