Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Note: The End Of Evangelion will be reviewed here as well The show is mid let me just get this out the way. Firstly the story if you can even call it that. The whole thing is a shit show that seems promising at first but as time goes on it becomes clear that nothing gets resolved. The premise is definitely interesting but they executed everything in the wrong way, they try to elaborate on what's happening on screen but it just leads to more confusion and more questions. The episodes themselves are relatively the same an angel attacks, andthen a mediocre action scene takes place you get a very little sense of progression.
The characters are a very little improvement to the mediocre story while I think they are written fairly well, characters like Shinji become painfully annoying after repeating the same thing each episode with again nothing resolved, the same could be said for Asuka. Overall each character is well written just not enjoyable. I understand the ending was rushed and not meant to be the proper ending so I watched the End Of Evangelion hoping for a better conclusion and some kind of explanation for all that has happened. Unfourtantley, that led to EVEN MORE confusion than before. On a positive note, the soundtrack slams especially the op, the art is good for its time nothing insane but it holds up pretty well. For the people who are going to say "you didn't understand it" You're right, I didn't.
