Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Young Boy, Become A Legend Neon Genesis evangelion Is a Show about broken people trying to fight against the end of the world, despite their own self Loathing. Watching Evangelion is a strange experience because it's a show that changes throughout. It's not one where it just finds formula and keeps it. It is a journey through many stages of happiness, grief, sadness, isolation, fear of being left Alone, and a lot of Philosophy. What are the best things about the show it's just hits in the feelings it hits on a primal level. Shinji ikari is the person that will break or make it for youHe isa character that it's so flawed and so irritating, if you just want him to do what main characters do in this kind of shows. But if you can empathize with him just a little then, he is a wonderful viewpoint into all of these flawed teens and adults in this world.

And not to be totally gloomy, it is a fun to watch. The opening is amazing and put me in a good mood and so many of the episode Is monster of the week, where they have to find unique way to destroy the Angel. It is just a good format and it is amazingly executed. If it had stayed that way it would have been remembered fondly, but it went much deeper and become a legend.

The cinematography is great, they choose such good angles to show every scene from. And they find the perfect angles to just linger so it becomes on the uncomfortable. It's just knows how to capture a scene, so it visual interesting to look at.

And of course the editing is amazing, the way they clip old animation together and give new meaning is spectacular.

The Evas fights looks phenomenon, they have speed but also weigh to them. The backgrounds and detail in everything is just spectacular, you can just see all the dust and see dirt and lipstick Marks on things. The objects and environments tell a story.

And the last two episodes are some of my favorite of all time, They are truly gut punched. It drops all pretense and just opens itself to you completely, it is one of the most honest and amazing 2 episodes i have seeing.

It is in my top 5 shows of all time. Would recommend.
