A snappy review... This anime is an absolute classic in it's genre. The story, the art (which grows on you).... everything about this anime was outstanding. The characters in particular were captivating. There's a bit of everything in Mai Otome... action, adventure, romance, friendship, and betrayal. I cried many times while watching this anime. I also laughed my head off too. Nothing could have been added to the story to make it any better. The only room for improvement in this series would be in the art and sound. A very moving addition to Mai Hime and in my opinion iteven outshines it. If you loved Mai Hime, then you will love Mai Otome.
