Review of Redo of Healer

I'll be honest, I watched Redo of Healer because of its reputation. At first, the anime seemed actually average, one based on revenge only for once. The classic "MC-rewinds-time-and-resets-his-world" mixed with the hartred of the MC makes you want to know how he will perform his revenge. But then the side characters are introduced. "Some harem anime" I thought, but damn I wasn't ready for this. Every single time a side character is presented, there is an actual effort to make them stand out by adding some backstory and personality traits, but no. The only destiny for these characters are to be turned into worthless sexslaves, progressively losing what made them interesting.

Furthermore, every time the anime seems to make a good move (i.e. some well made plan from the MC, the backstory of a character), it is immediatly ruined by some random sex scene/rape. Every episode you're willing for a decent scenario with a good outcome but nuh, let's put some random yuri sex here and there to run some fan service.

The music is pretty basic but ok, one track has a good relaxing tone.

As for the art, it is decent but don't you dare look too much at characters sometimes, quickdrawn faces are frequent heh...

Still, the anime gets a point on some parts. Good interesting quotes that reflects on the behavior of a society, and the MC having a good ominous, charismatic personality when he's not in rut.

So if you're looking for harem sex and some rape with a revengeful stereotyped tentacle hentai MC and don't mind too much about art of scenario, go ahead and enjoy, that's not the first nor the last borderline harem anime.
But if you want an intriguing storyline and charismatic/interesting characters, go on your way. You'd rather put a campfire out with your face than painfully watching this failure of an ecchi.
