Review of Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro
Quick review because this show doesn't really need a long one. This is a rom-com called "Don't Toy with Me, Nagatoro-san" written by a hentai artist. You really don't need to know more than that. You should already know whether or not you would enjoy it. If you read that and think "that sounds dumb" or "I won't enjoy that" then guess what? You won’t enjoy it. This show is exactly what it advertises itself to be (except a bit more wholesome and less ecchi than you might expect), so there should be no reason to watch it if you know you won't like it. But to explaina bit more anyways, well, you get exactly what you would expect. A girl teasing a somewhat wimpy guy everyday. There's no story or anything, though there will be the occasional mini-arc (there's one this season, I assume there will be more in the future). And obviously, given who it's written by, it does more or less revolve around sexual stuff, and this definitely has some fanservice/ecchi elements (though not as much as you may think it would have). Besides that, we have genuinely funny stuff, along with some surprisingly wholesome moments, as it becomes very clear that the main characters do in fact care for each other!
I will add a small caveat here if you fall into the category of people that may enjoy this: the first episode is bad. Like, that episode was just straight up bullying without anything redeeming to it (well…). It sort of made the second episode feel a bit disconnected because it seemingly immediately switched to more light-hearted teasing and what I assume most people would expect. So just as a heads up if you decide to watch this, you'll kinda need to push through the first episode.
But yeah, I mean maybe you want me to say more but if you are still undecided on whether you should watch this or not, it probably means you wouldn't enjoy it.
