Review of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Part 2
I really enjoyed this season of SAO: Alicization Part 2. There were a lot of great moments that stood out, and it really felt like a rewarding conclusion to the arc. For instance, the moment when Kirito finally woke up and jumped back in to save everyone was something I think a lot of us were waiting for. It was that big, exciting payoff that really felt earned after all the buildup. Just seeing him back in action with that determination was a highlight that made the whole thing worth it. Now, to be honest, the beginning did feel a bit slow. The first few episodestook a while to get going, but as the story progressed, it definitely picked up the pace and became more engaging. By the time we reached the final stretch, it was pretty thrilling, and the slower start was easy to forgive because of how well it all came together.
In the end, what I really appreciated was the whole premise of these AI humans—these sort of “fake” humans who are still very much human in their own way—finding a place in the real world. That idea added a layer of depth and made the ending feel both satisfying and thought-provoking. It’s the kind of twist that makes you think a bit about the intersection of virtual and real lives and leaves you with a sense that the story actually went somewhere meaningful.
So overall, it was a season that started out a bit slow but ended on a high note with some great themes and a really cool finish.
