Review of Horimiya

Probably the most overrated anime of the winter 2021 lineup. The pacing is some of the worst I've ever seen as it sloppily staggers between soppy cliché romance and extremely one note slice of life without properly merging the two at any point. You spend so much time with these characters in this group, but except for the lead male you only get surface level development and they all come off as pretty basic and bland. It's blatantly trying to wring emotion out of you, but the fact that it can't muster up anything unique or exciting makes it all the moredisappointing.
