Review of A Place Further Than The Universe
That feel when you have to go to the ends of the Earth to get your shit together~ But for real, reminded me of the inner struggles as a teenager and the insecurity of taking responsibility and surviving on your own in new environments, and how scary it was at that time. I liked that even if there was development in characters, you didn't see it in each and every single scene because that's usually not how people act IRL even when they're feeling strong emotions, and it was believable. Only minus would come from how they chose to show realism only when in suited the script, liketelling about nausea on sea travels and some of the hard work they do in Antarctica but at the same time; characters hanging out in the extreme coldness like it's no big deal and the actual expedition team just drinking and eating all the time. This would have been great opportunity to learn more about the actual work they do there, in a fun way.
Overall, 7/10 because an effort was made in the story and it had a lot of potential but I think it got lost in translation somewhere in between trivial drama and slightly weird story-phasing.
