Review of Fire Force
This review goes for both season 1 and season 2 as they personally have the same quality. While I can see how certain aspects of an anime can be the determining factor of their overall impression of it, for myself, its the enjoyment. Fire Force was a show I had low expectations initially due the cover of the show seeming to be about fire fighters who fight fire at face cover being cheesy. However, the first episode does a great job at putting forward its 2 main strengths, sound and action in ways that can only be done justice by being seen rather than explained. Atfirst I did watch the sub, but I found the humour struggled to transfer through reading text followed by awkward silence. I then opted to watch the dub instead and it just clicked (nice job to those who worked on the english dub). The whole show that had a feel that successfully made me pumped for each fight.
It is understandable to be put off by this show due to multiple areas such as fan service and how "stupid" the story can be, but those parts have some great payoffs.
Overall, love or hate, its a show I recommend to watch!
