Review of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
Hi, I like to keep it short and simple when writing a review. As I'm not that good at writing paragraphs and having to fill them for length and precision's sake. I started watching Boruto, and then dropped it after the first 100-something episodes. It really starts off bad, something like a 5 for me. Compared to Naruto it felt slow, soulless and a little silly. Giving me that pain I get when watching something tedious. When I picked it up again I noticed that it's getting progressively better with every episode. The story is well written when it has time to unfold. There's somebanger episodes regarding the animation and overall flow.
What I like is that Boruto get's really psychological sometimes. To an extent where it makes me uncomfortable, which is a good thing.
I've seen some really psychological stuff.
So it left me suprised that a shounen for kids would step out to go that far. Even further than Naruto did.
If you can bear with the first block of episodes until midway, you'll have a great time I reckon.
Maybe you could skip some of the first arcs, or fly over it in the manga to save yourself some suffering.
I can recommend it, and I'm eagerly awaiting part 2.
PS: IMO adult Sasuke is really cool, and Sakura makes a beautiful wife. While I'm serious about it, I hope you get the reference.
Peace
