Review of Land of the Lustrous

Beautiful. Captivating. Heart-breaking. I adore this anime to pieces. Just thinking about it makes my heart beat faster remembering all the emotions it made me feel. So unique, engaging, and the light-hearted moments balance out the heavy, heart-wrenching ones. Their world is dangerous and always changing. I feel so helpless watching Lunarian attacks happen and so I feel like I experience the trauma along with Phos. There's emotional and physical growth in Phos that was so satisfying to watch. I love how unpredictable every episode is. Just when I think I know what’s going to happen, it turns on its head and changes its dynamics completely,and I love that about it.

LOVE the VAs. Phos’ suit hers perfectly. (And Dia. And Bort. And everyone lol). So emotional and on point. The frustration, the sass, the vulnerability. She brought her to life.

The only thing I wished was that this was longer, because it doesn't feel complete to me and I want to know so much more about the characters and their world.

Give this anime a chance. It gave me all the feels in the best way possible.
