Review of Parasyte: The Maxim
This review does not contain spoilers. Parasyte is an anime focused on an adult audience. Unlike many others, it has a more natural character design without classic stereotypes of animation (large muscles, flamboyant hairstyles with bold colors, stupid girls crying or screaming in each chapter...). Although there is some exception that does not clash. We can say that its plot is narrated at a good pace and without spectacular turns. It has a key point: the viewer's identification with the protagonist. We are facing a person who could perfectly be you. The only difference between him and the viewer is that an alien parasite has settled tolive in his hand. His actions and emotions are coherent and you can empathize a lot with him. The rest of the characters are quite secondary. Still, they have charisma.
Finally, it is worth noticing that Parasyte conveys an interesting dilemma about the food pyramid.
