Review of Gangsta.

This anime had great potential. I loved the art style, the characters, the mood, and tone. I even liked the slower pacing of it. The story was really shaping up to something big - like, seriously big. Some kind of epic battle is starting, half the important characters are damaged, dead, or missing. It's time for the showdown between the bad guys and the even-more-bad guys! But...it ends there. Like - check MAL, check other sites, check the reviews - seriously? It ends in the middle of a damned battle?! It didn't even feel like a deliberate cliffhanger-type ending. It felt like the animators just said,"Nah, don't feel like doing episode 13."

WTF?! I have no idea how to rate this. With just one more episode I would have rated it 8 or 9. Now...? 7 I guess. I can't just toss out what I did love about it - I wouldn't be so disappointed if the rest of the story hadn't hooked me.

Oh well. Time to go read the manga, just like the creators hoped, damn it.
