Gintama deserves all of the praise it gets and then some. This really is a show that some people just don't understand, which is saying a lot for a show with as many toilet humor jokes as stars in the sky. Of course the constant barfing, nutshots, and strange references are all there to put down your guard. When they dig the knife in for emotional scenes, I'll be the first to admit that some of it is a little melodramatic. But the way the show constantly parodies itself and everything else you can think of makes it the legendary show that it is. Worthwatching 100% for anyone.
