Review of Noragami Aragoto
Alright. I will admit, season 2 did a lot story wise but they really butchered it with the ending. The first half of the season is fucking amazing, honestly I would rate that a 9/10. But I have it rated as a 7/10 right now cause the 2nd half. It turns to one of those shows (I refer to as naruto moments) where a random character comes out of nowhere, becomes a main character, then Yato becomes attached out of nowhere? Like he legit did a complete 180 on his personality. It's understandable he's changed for Hiyori/Yukine but HE LITERALLY JUST MET THIS DUDE. And whatpisses me off the most is that it has those moments where it tries t o be emotional but really it's just annoying.
Example.
"I'm so glad I met you Yato, you taught me a lot"
"NEVER GIVE UP, DON'T YOU WANT TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS."
After this, this random character with LITERALLY 0 backstory is taking up half the screen time on the show and to make matters worse, HE'S NOT EVEN INTERESTING. Damn man, like this show could've been so much better. One episode, it was literally 10 minutes of this type of dialogue, where they talk to each other with those quotes. 'YOU'RE STRONGER THAN ME, THAT'S MORE THAN I COULD EVER DO." Ugh, you know what I mean. The fucking naruto moments, constant flashbacks to unimportant characters no one gives a damn about.
TLDR; Amazing first half. Shit second half.
