Review of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

This is one of the most underrated shows I’ve ever seen. I had no expectations of the show. This is a classic ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. The humour is just phenomenal. I watched the English dub in the English sub, I found that both shows paced really well. The way Saiki talks puts you on edge since you don’t want to miss any of the funny quips he dishes out. I just love the supporting characters in the show. Not only do you have Saiki making you chuckle at his throw away lines. You have sweet and simple Nendo he cracked me upevery time he just said “HeY buddy”.

The show pokes fun at not only anime characters, but real life people too. Kokomi is a character who is obnoxiously popular for no reason other than the fact she’s pretty, cute and nice - but her internal narcissism is just hilarious since we as viewers have probably thought of characters like her. Finally, the anime kid. If you didn’t grow up with the weird anime kid you were the weird anime kid.

Overall: this show is awesome breaking all the norms of anime.
