Aikagi-kun to Shiawase Gohan · review
This is an overall wholesome piece without any drama or hard feelings. It has just the right amount of sweetness, not too much to make it feel “cringe,” but not too little to make it “boring.” It’s good as it is! Content: 8/10 The story matches the vibe and direction of the manga really well. It’s good at what it sets out to do: no unnecessary drama, and the only relationship problem is resolved lightly through conversation. The ending did feel a bit rushed to me, and I would’ve liked at least one more volume, but it’s still great. Style: 8/10 The art style is exactly what you’d wantfrom a wholesome romance manga. It doesn’t need to be top notch, just cute characters with enough care in each panel, which it delivers. The art quality also stayed consistent throughout.
Personal Enjoyment: 9/10
Shout-out to the “Fluffy Low-Stakes Romances” stack. This is another manga I stumbled upon right before bed, only to end up reading all the way through. My initial feelings after first chapter was around an 8, but it didn’t disappoint me at all and ended up feeling like a solid 9.
