"Don´t underestimate bread making" is a pretty cute manga about getting your life back in order. Muyu Uchiki is a high school drop out and a neet of two years when suddenly she is drafted asa substitute manager in her aunt´s bakery. From there she is not just managing the bakery but trying to manage her life. Muyu is pretty standard character for a neet: very shy, highly introvert and avoids human contact as much as possible. Reading between the lines however, she doesn´t hate the world, despise her family or humans overall or neglect her once-in-a-while work. Her greatest characteristic problem is the huge lack ofself-confidence that has pretty much costed her nice school time memories and thus able to answer the question "where do I see myself in five years?" She feels defeated and doesn´t know how to get back up from the slumber of depression. Until she gets a job offer and left with no choice but to do it!

Showcasing a basic example of ever growing problem today, when people are giving themselves higher and higher expectations regarding their performance, failing to achieve them and thus giving up. "Don´t underestimate bread making" gives a fine example of when trying to get your life back together you might need to try something you never could have even image yourself doing. Especially when you are just 19 years old and not sure about anything. Not all glory is achieved by academics or taking the same road as others, but by getting yourself some actual hard work and there for something to do. It is not false that the best way of learning the job is by doing it. Just like life.

Drawings are good and angle wise seem to be well thought. I´m not sure all characters are that "memorable" but they deliver their part. For gourmet-themed manga I was hoping a bit more info about different bakes, but they look nevertheless quite tasty.

For those who like gourmet, slice-of-life or workplaced mangas this could be a nice snack.
