This review may discuss plot details.

A Life-Changing Turn is a story about regret, acceptance, and rebellion. At least it tries to be. What it ultimately boils down to is an engaging exaggerated mystery. The point of the story is to show how the MC develops, and it focuses on her development a lot, since most other characters either A. don't change at all or B. suddenly change for no reason. The MC's development is handled well though, thoroughly showing her self-reflecting and realizing what she has done. The characters are mostly quite realistic, except for the MC's father being cartoonishly evil. I have 0 complaints about the art, it is cleanand colorful.

The story is quite fun to read. The MC's constant failed attempts at finding M give the story a flow, and M's demands are entertaining to watch. I didn't like how there was kind of a makeshift deus ex machina nearing the end so that everyone could forgive the MC more easily (iykyk).

A Life-Changing Turn is, in my opinion, a worse but more accessible Onani Master Kurosawa. Where Onani Master Kurosawa is more realistic and philosophical, is A Life-Changing Turn more entertaining/thrilling and exaggerated. It definitely helps not being about masturbation :p. If you want to read something like this that is a lot more gritty and realistic, more painful and sad, read Onani Master Kurosawa. If you want to read something with good art, a decent and entertaining story, and an interesting MC, read A Life-Changing Turn.
