I re-read the volume to write this review. I'm mainly doing it because the only existing review is from a guy who couldn't be bothered to Google or even read the back of the volume, which explicitly states that this is a side story that takes place BEFORE the anime. So, obviously, you need to have at least watched one episode of the anime to understand it. It's like watching the third movie in a trilogy and complaining that you don't get it. Seriously. This volume is what was later adapted into the premium YouTube ONA, and it's honestly a fun, light read for us Idolish7fans. It's about Trigger's formation and their initial clashes. It gives us a bit of insight into each member's life before they became the Trigger we know. From the very first second, we get to observe the dynamic between the three of them and get to know them better. I love the youthful duality Tenn shows, how he feels, which is even a little different from his 18-year-old version in the main story. Arina Tanemura's art is super cute.

It's perfect for understanding their initial friction and how their personalities eventually mesh over time. They are literally that J Balvin song "nos peleamos, nos arreglamos, nos mantenemos en esa pero nos amamos."
