Forgive me for being an amateur at writing reviews, but if my reviews can make you read/buy this manga, then I feel like I did something right. Story: 10 I think the story is very unique and you can't really find another storyline like it for a yaoi. There is also a lot of historical reference such as the Jacobin Party, so I feel that it gives the story a sense of realism. Art: 8 At first, I wasn't really attracted to Yoshinaga's art, but as I read more, I see that her drawings really match and bring out the story in G & J. I thinkshe captures the essence of what France might have been like in the time period the manga is taking place. So, if you think you might not read this because the art does not seem to appeal to you at first sight, definitely reconsider that. I think Yoshinaga's art really grows on you.

Character: 10

There are definitely wonderful characters in here. There's really nice character development seen in the two main characters. When flashbacks were shown, I wasn't annoyed. I thought the flashbacks were essential to the story.

Enjoyment: 10

Definitely, enjoyed the manga! I kind of wish it was longer, but the two volumes were definitely amazing!

Overall: 9
