Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

The plot if you can even call it that moves at a snail's pace. The characters are sort of bland. 2 introverted stoic characters who look bored most of the time. They face no real challenges. They're just the best at everything because they've mastered the old basic style. They can just stat check anyone and everyone. They don't even take damage during fights. The third character has confidence issues for an episode or two and then he's amazing as well. The animation is actually pretty good in some areas but since the plot is slow, you rarely get to see it outside of a fewfights.

Some people commented that the music is great but I honestly didn't search for the soundtracks once I was done. It didn't stand out in any way and it didn't feel bad either. So about average in that dept.

I don't get the hype at all. It doesn't have any fan service and is a one size fits all anime, hence the popularity. If you think this is the best thing ever made, I'd wager you have not been exposed to anything else.
