Samurai Harem: Asu no Yoichi · review
I won't say I am a fan of the harem genre, but i do like it when someone makes one with a difference. This,in my opinion,is not so different from others, in terms of the characters and their relationship with each other, but still entertains with its martial arts theme. Story: A boy is trained in the hills of japan to be a samurai by his Powerful father. When he turns 17(or was it 18)the dad says he has nothing more to teach him there and sends the boy to the city to a fellow clan member for more training. This fellow clan member is Ibuki, the eldest of4 sisters who is learning the same sword style as the protagonist.
Art: This is at least average. the girls look cute and the guys are well drawn. The art is simple and quite expressive.
Characters: This is the only thing i can say this manga has in common with almost all other mangas of its genre. But they do have a small amount of depth to them and do entertain.
Enjoyment: With the martial art moments and the ecchi situations, this manga can be said to be both funny and some what action packed.
Overall: the characters are harem cliches and the story is not so captivating, but if you look past that, this is a pretty good read.
