There are many, many misconceptions about Attack on Titan rampant in online spaces, these misconceptions are generally what fuels the unjust hate on the ending. And today I'm gonna address them, with a (mostly) objective look in the story's talking points, and interviews. 1. Eren didn't care for Mikasa until s4. Thefore Eremika is forced. We first need to know the difference between >YOU< not liking a plot point, and the story not diving into it. You can not like Eremika's story and dynamic, but saying it didn't exist until s4 is ignorance. For example early in the series, there's this scene where Eren says how much Mikasashould join the MPs because she will get special treatment (episode 4). Not wanting her to join the survey corps because it's dangerous. Despite giving shit to Jean earlier for wanting the same thing. Another example is when he doesn't understand why Mikasa keeps that scarf around, and suggest to get a new one. Not only it shows his overall care and asking for her to rest, it shows that despite his dense nature, he still very much still cares for Mikasa.
And the moment he understand how much that scarf means to her, how much it made her happy and teached her how to live. He didn't HESITATE to say "I'll wrap that scarf around you as many times as you want."

2. Armin only likes Annie due to bert's memories.

This is completely stupid. Because if you believe ANYTHING Eren said in the table scene, you've already misunderstood half of s4.
Eren is telling a good lie. As Pixis said; You need to mix the truth into it.
Eren used Armin seeing Annie because of his feelings (truth), and said that it's due to Bert's memories (lie), because then why would that apply ONLY to Armin?

After all if it was true, Eren would be contradicting himself. Because he ate Lara Tybur, and suddenly started going against the scouts, and working with an enemy (Zeke). Meaning he is also not having any free will and is just another slave like he says Armin is.

You can dislike the pairing of Armin and Annie, sure. But to make these claims is to be completely stupid.

3. Ackerbond is real.

Since we're at the table scene again. This one was easily debunked by the story itself in Sneak attack and Dawn of humanity. Armin could already tell what Eren said was a lie. And Zeke (Eren's supposed source to this) said that such a thing doesn't exist.

4. The pregnancy subplot was more important, but it was abandoned.

You don't need to like the pregnancy "subplot". But to say there was more to it is more wishful thinking of shippers than actually in line with the story.
It was never supposed to be important as one would think. It was merely setting up that things were going on behind the military's back (The yeagerists) because the timing was too precise. Which ruined the military's plans to eat Zeke right away.
Which is in line with Eren's plans to use Zeke and not have any of his friends (including Historia) to not turn into titans, and he would still be able to carry out his plan.

The "reveal" that actually happened was that it was Historia who suggested getting pregnant.
It was never who was the father. But rather what was happening behind the scenes. It was a passive plot line that Isayama hastly addressed in 130. And no. Eren is not the father, as the script for the final episode confirms it.

5. The scouts forgave the warriors and it's bad.

No. They didn't. There is a very clear difference between working together and forgiving one's actions. This usually comes from people who think the scouts should've hold the warriors accountable, when they aren't better. The whole point of the "Night of the End" episode is how no one there has the right to play the Moral card on anyone. They all comitted crimes, even if you think some are "worse" than others. All of them have blood on their hands.
To say that anyone in this conflict has the right to judge anyone else, and have the moral high ground to "forgive" one's sins is to be ignorant. Is to be like Marleyans and Paradisians. That's what Jean misunderstood. He tries to beat Reiner for being a traitor, but he himself became one to Paradis. He thought he was better than him because of this. But soon he realized how all of them are sinners. And admitted he was no better than Reiner.
The whole point of the Alliance is that it's the ultimate result brought by reaching an understanding of all sides of a conflict, nobody there can hold anyone accountable. They're all the same. They know they're all bad, but even so, they strive to be better and to not let the mistakes of the past define their future, thus working together to save the world. They abandon their devils to do what's right.

6. Annie was heartless and never felt any remorse.

This usually comes from the belief that Annie was an evil monster. Which is just stupid. She has remorse multiple times in the series. After trost and killing Marco. Even having nightmares about it as a form of ptsd.
"Then why she said she'd do it all over again?"

Because that's a theme common in AOT. These characters will indeed commit atrocities. But they can't hide their own selfishness and flaws. Eren, Reiner, Armin. All of them did the same.
Annie is just another example of that, her father gave her a purpose in life. She didn't see any value in her life as a child. She thought nothing mattered. Until her father realized how much she was important to her. And wanted her to forget her duty and just return home.
She was given the first meaning in her life. It's only natural she would do anything to return to her father. You can say it's morally wrong, yes. But to hold her in this "evil person" when all of AOT characters are like this is just stupid.

All in all, an excellent series that didn't deserve many of the dunces it got as watchers/readers.
