Review of Parallel World Pharmacy
The concept could have been something really special, but it was very poorly executed. I don't even know where to begin. 1. The protagonist was placed on a conveyer belt where everything was handed to him. He didn't have to struggle or even work for it. 2. Magic eyes and hands - it is like hero being handed a laser guided nuclear missile to find and kill the villain. This exactly here is what really makes for an interesting show to watch right (hero clicking a single button) 3. The show did not introduce a single new disease for the protagonist to tackle. Everything disease introduced wasalready known and had a drug to treat it. Exciting.
4. For someone who wants to make the world a better place, one would open a college to share his knowledge, not a pharmacy which undercuts the existing ones (which also delayed the adoption of modern medicine)
The plot, works building, conflicts, characters, everything is meh. It pains me so much, I was actually looking forward to the show based on the premise, and I had never been so disappointed.
