Review of Horimiya
Unlike other's I enjoyed Horimiya to the fullest. I was a huge fan of the manga for the longest time. There are many chapters that were not animated but that's okay given that Horimiya followed the main plot of the manga. Horimiya is different from other high school romance anime. I was getting so tired of MCs trying to signal each other that they like but fails to understand each other because of miscommunication, unnecessary love triangles blah blah blah.... Kyoko Hori and Izumi Miyamura breaks all the clichés of your typical high school couples and gives us a glimpse of what its like inreal life. Wholesome.
All the characters went through some level of developments but specially Miyamura. His turn around as a character was specially visible in the "hypothetic" situation that he was thinking about. "What would happen if XYZ didn't happen". We get to see why Horimiya characters are the way they are through out the anime, which is something you don't see very often in other anime of this genera. They have their strengths and weaknesses. They all have moments when they were vulnerable. These traits make these characters realistic.
No unnecessary drama, no miscommunication, no snitching on others. Horimiya is a snap shot of a few high school student's lives. This was really a breath of fresh air.
