Review of Spy x Family Season 2
The strength of Spy x Family comes from its longer arcs, though the short stories are also enjoyable. Unfortunately for season two, the longest arc was the cruise arc, which like in the manga, had places that felt sluggish and draggy, though the pacing felt a little better in anime form than it did in manga form. That said, I'm not discouraged by this season because I think over all the anime is fairly faithful to the manga and it's still entertaining. I'm looking forward to future seasons that will tackle some of the stronger longer arcs to come. I think if you really enjoyedseason 1, it's important to remember that season 2, like a lot of shows, is where things kind of level out and so it's not as entertaining and strong as season 1. However, it's not without its big ticket moments, funny jokes, and drama. I think going into it knowing it's naturally going to be weaker than season 1 is the key to enjoying it. I'm looking forward to whatever the anime throws at us next.
