Review of Love of Kill
Koroshi Ai is one of those under the radar anime that quietly draws you in with its slow burn tension, morally complex leads, and an atmosphere thick with mystery and unspoken emotion. It’s a unique blend of psychological drama, romance, and action that doesn’t rely on flashy tropes, but instead, lets the suspense and chemistry between the characters speak for itself. At the center of the story is Chateau Dankworth, a stoic bounty hunter, and Ryang-ha Song, a charming yet deadly assassin with a past steeped in secrets. Their cat and mouse dynamic is unlike anything I’ve seen in recent anime. Ryang-ha is both playful anddangerous, while Chateau is cold, guarded, and haunted by something we slowly uncover. Their interactions are laced with tension, sometimes flirty, sometimes unnerving, and it’s exactly that balance that makes their relationship so fascinating to watch unfold.
The anime isn’t about explosive fights or fast paced romance. It’s subtle, patient, and emotionally layered. Every episode peels back just a little more of the mystery, making it easy to get hooked on the intrigue. The art style suits the noir tone, and the soundtrack adds to the suspense. If you’re into emotionally restrained characters, slow burn relationships, and a darker tone with a touch of twisted charm, Koroshi Ai is an underrated gem absolutely worth discovering.
