I wasn't planning on watching the show but i decided to give it a go after watching mothers basement's anime season video. I am SO glad i gave it a shot. It quickly became a favorite that I looked forward to every week. I ADORE John the armadillo and I would absolutely die for him! This show's humor is absurd (and corny boob-butt-sex related) but I howled in laughter nearly every episode. The last comedy I laughed at like this was Sakamoto-kun! Overall this show has gotten me through some of the worst weeks of my life and it's become special to me. This isa must-watch for anyone, even if it's only for John. I hope a second season is on the way! Now excuse me, i have to go read the manga now.
