Review of Dan Da Dan
DanDaDan is fun, absurd, and surprisingly sweet at times. It’s not overly serious or dark, but that doesn’t mean it’s childish. It’s an anime you watch to unwind after a long day at work, when you just want something goofy, sometimes bordering on farcical. The beautiful animation and exciting action scenes make it very enjoyable watch. The humor in DanDaDan seems to be divisive, but I enjoyed it. It is often raunchy, but not necessarily juvenile. I got a good laugh out of it more often than not, and it’s nice to watch something that doesn’t take itself too seriously. That being said, there are plentyof adult themes and I wouldn’t recommend the show for younger viewers.
The budding romance between the main characters is endearing and relatable, at least to me. I remember being an awkward, nerdy guy in high school, lost in my feelings because I hadn’t figured out how to express them yet. I think they really captured the awkwardness and innocence of relationships that age.
Overall, DanDaDan is a great watch, worth checking out.
