FINALLY - an anime that balances romcom, story, and magic/action without going overthetop. If you're a fan of Yona, SAO, even a touch of Snow White w/ Red Hair, this is for you. What I appreciated most was this wasn't an over-dramatization of a one-sided love. The season could easily be an extended intro, but most productions these days seem to have this "will it work" mentality before we get the whole story. I'm excited to read the Light Novel since THESE really show the series' potential - 86 being the most ICONIC example of this in the last decade. Could havedone with a bit more action, but hopefully this is the build-up to season 2??
