The soundtrack and animation are amazing — visually and musically, the movie is a real treat. If you've never seen the original, this is a great introduction. Because of this movie, I ended up watching the original anime from the 70s. And while it’s true that the movie is different from the original, that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, the differences highlight how each version has its own strengths. It reminded me a lot of Sailor Moon Crystal versus the classic Sailor Moon — not better or worse, just different approaches. Even though I personally prefer the old series, I REALLY liked this movie! I thinkfans of the genre or newcomers will enjoy it too, especially if they’re open to different interpretations of a classic.
