Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Spectacular. Initially, I wasn’t drawn to this anime. As a fantasy roleplayer, I enjoy romance, which Mushoku Tensei somewhat fulfilled. However, after watching about seven episodes, the depth of this series revealed itself to me. Frieren stands out in terms of character development and world-building, elevating it to a peak experience. This series is perfect for those who seek something beyond action-packed plots and want a narrative that resonates deeply. It shows us emotions often overlooked, reminding us of the profound feelings that life is made out of. The main cast is incredibly enjoyable, but what I love even more is how certain characters appear and disappear throughoutthe story. The episodes don’t feel like they’re strictly canon, yet they can’t be labeled as fillers either because of their meaningful character development.
I do wish that the romance and love between certain characters, developed a bit faster. After all, it’s a fantasy world, and the potential for deeper connections feels suitable for the genre.
