Review of Attack on Titan

I have heard of this anime series even before I got into anime. One random day on the internet I came across the soundtrack piece Vogel im Kafig on YouTube and got blown away by how epic it sounded. I looked up this series and saw how highly rated the episodes were on IMDb. Over three episodes had a 9.9 on IMDb. I thought that was pretty rare. And it was. Many years later (a week ago) I ordered the boxset of Season 1 online because I wanted to see what the hype was about, even though the season is supposed to be the most basicone (as season 3 is supposed to be the best one). I gotta say I really enjoyed it! Episode 1 was an incredible start. The tragic ending scene of that episode with Vogel im Kafig was amazing. The next 3 or 4 episodes were quite slow but it started getting better quickly after that. The second half of the series was even better. Episode 21 is my favourite episode in my opinion.

In conclusion, Attack on Titan has an incredible soundtrack, amazing action sequences, beautiful animation and a very interesting story, and this will probably distract you from the occasional, mild flaws.
