I hate seeing when people try to write off as 2D or that it's plagiarism. Just be honest, you didn't give it a chance. If by 3 episodes of even 20, you were done. That's fine. Just say you couldn't keep watching because it was too similar. Hell, I didn't give Fruit Basket or AOT another chance after the first episode because everything I assumed would happen, happened. It could be great characters and story along the way but I didn't want to bother. I'm really fucking picky with my animes. If I'm not intrigued by the first episode, I drop it. If the series go onhiatus and I'm not interested enough to go back, I drop it (i.e Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul).

For those that say Asta has no failing and he always wins. No. He has failed. He has lost. Quite a few times and many of the times he needed his friend's help. Which, always makes it more interesting and shows off teamwork and the importance of it.

The characters aren't 2D. I'm not fond of Noelle but you get a better understanding of why she's clumsy with her magic as you read/watch on. It also, VERY REALISTICALLY, puts her in that mindset of her family. You are what your family teaches you. If your family taught you that you're better than everyone, you will believe it. Yami's bg (and you learn more way FURTHER in) definitely gives you a better insight into why he is the way he is. Even Asta, who's an overly confident, optimistic person despite the shit he gets. He came from a loving home (yes, the orphanage) and Yuno thinks the same way too despite how it may seem.

As for Asta and Yuno being OP with no reason. THERE IS A REASON! Again, it's further in and it makes perfect sense once you get that insight. How Yuno became such a powerful wizard and how Asta was born without any magic, the background laid out for them explains it very well.

I don't usually read mangas for Animes I'm watching. I just wait because I can't be bothered. Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Dr. Stone had made me WANT to read the manga because I just couldn't wait for the anime. I had to know what was going on.

Every episode/chapter I'm crying or dying from laughter. It's beautifully written and it plays around with religion so it is VERY possible for anyone to predict what will happen next. But I believe that's the fun. Even with the knowledge of what's going to happen next. You're very much still wondering how it will happen and how they will get there.

If you're gonna complain about it because it's not an anime you have to think about and ponder, that's just plain stupid. You have to be "brain-dead" to enjoy it, I believe, really shows how much of a "NiceGuy TM" the person is. You can just enjoy something without having to be left guessing what's going to happen.

Isn't that the point of My Hero Academia? There's nothing to question or wonder. Just enjoying the ride.

It very much does make fun of the cliches in Shonens and you can tell where they get the inspiration from. I still believe that makes the story, characters, and background all the more enjoyable.
