Review of Amnesia

STORY 3/10 ------------------ I believe that there was a lot of potential in the plot, but it needed serious elaboration. I was left very dissatisfied with the ending which, really, didn't "end" anything. It was much too sudden with an extremely poor essence of finality. A girl who is loved by five different guys gets amnesia and has to decide who she's in love with. That's basically the extent of the plot. ART 9/10 --------------- When I first saw a review for this anime the first thing I noticed was the art. I am very particular when it comes to the qualityand styles of the art in both anime and manga. I have on multiple occasions either dropped or written off anime even before watching simply because I can not stand the art.

The art in this anime is exceptional! I loved the fresh approach they gave to the eyes and facial expressions. One of the reasons I didn't drop this anime was because the characters were just so unbelievably beautiful! The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was due to the lack of detail in the background.

The theme for this series was an instant favourite of mine! I've listened to it almost non-stop since first starting this anime.

However, this show could really have stepped up it's background music. A good instrumental can really help emphasize the intensity or tenderness of a scene, which is something that I didn't find this anime took advantage of.

Once again there was a lot of potential here. Overall the characters could easily be seen as bland (especially the heroine) or single-minded. But given the concept of the anime I found them well portrayed.

One of the things I enjoyed about this anime was that it wasn't limited to one person's ideals of the perfect boyfriend. There were traits to appeal to everyone (similar to Ouran High School Host Club).

It was, all things considered, a good anime. I personally have ranked it #1 in my current favourites. But I can see how this one isn't for everyone.

Another one of it's redeeming qualities was that the swearing was kept to a minimal. As far as I can remember there were only a few appearances of the words a** and d*** throughout the entire series. It's hard to find a good anime without frequent or moderate language.

I would recommend it to people who enjoy shojo, reverse-harem and, how shall I put it, "multiple choice"?
