Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

Here we go on my first review! I recommended this anime to the people who can handle cliches and lolis. Story: 5/10. The story is very cliche and a bit boring. I feel like the story has so much potential if it's executed right. I don't like the fact that this is a harem anime in disguise, as the girls who fall in love with him are underaged, with the MC being over 18 years of age. Overall, it could be a very better anime if the story was changed. Art and animation: 8/10. The art style is no different from other animes, but I found thecolor scheme quite nice, as I think it suits the anime. The animation is smooth too, in my opinion.

Sound: 9/10. Believe me, I danced when the first opening came up. The second opening is very good too. The sounds, in general, are delivered almost perfectly.

Character: 6/10. I despise almost all the characters in the story, with the MC being the exception. Almost all the girls in that anime are just here for falling in love, most of which are underage falling with the MC. Fairly though, the characters that are written to be annoying (the red-haired girl) are written perfectly and make people despise her. Generally, the characters need improvement.

Enjoyment: 7/10. It can be boring sometimes but I always watch 4-8 episodes a day.

Overall: 7/10
