Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

Overall the story was enjoyable to watch. It is a very interesting concept even if it is lacking at times. But in the end, the story is a decent one and worth watching. What bothers me the most about this show is the mc and his girl, for one throughout the show the mc is an annoying whiney baby. It was ok at the start of the show because that allowed him to grow as a character and yet that never really happened. Even up till the end he is still scared of everything and cries all the time even though he is much strongerthan normal humans.

The girl that liked him and he liked had much to be desired she constantly just bugged me with all this doubt about if he is who he is. Like no one really does that, I get that he changed but there were real-life reasons that could explain that like his mother's death and his father almost dying. Yet he never told her that because of the whole cover-up due to the parasites. But regardless she was just annoying and I wish the chick who could sense him stayed alive and ended up with the mc instead.

Also, the final episode was just kind of a let down especially with the parasite going dormant or whatnot. But when they are in danger at the end I just felt like it was overplayed and dumb because of his strength. Like when she fell he could have easily jumped after her and rescued her instead he weeps and thinks she died until his arm wakes up and saves her. Anyways I am not the best at reviews but this is what I felt about the story like I said overall the story was good, not great but good but the characters were not the best.
