Review of Astra Lost in Space

' Kanata no Astra ', or ' Astra Lost in Space ' is a sci-fi anime. As the name suggests, yes the characters are lost in space. and it is based on the future. The story of the anime is surprisingly good, but you do feel as if they rushed things at some episodes. Personally, I would have liked it to have 24 episodes. But there are several episodes with plot twists that you would never expect. You won't even know what would happen in the next episode. These guys really do know how to keep us in a cliffhanger. The artwork of the anime issomehow similar to Erased. For those who have not watched erased, what I was trying to say is that on several scenes the aspect ratio change and it gives this "Man that animation quality is godlike" feel. But yeah, it is not there in every single scene like in the grisaia series. I did wish at some episodes that they could have increased the quality a bit, but yeah, it was ok.
The sounds, however, were not as good as the artwork. Comparing the subbed and dubbed version, the dubbed version felt better, but still, during several scenes, you would feel the subbed version is better.
The characterization of the anime is something I would give a huge shoutout to. There were major character improvisations, and each character had their own personality and hardships that we might find on ourselves. I was comparing myself to Zack and Kanata at several points (you would understand when you watch it). I also really liked the female characters except for Yun-Hua, m maybe because she was really silent throughout the series.
I really did enjoy this anime, in fact, I did watch it a second time with my friends and everyone liked it. If you are ever feeling that you can't find an anime and you feel like you've hit a wall or something like that, this is the perfect anime for you to watch.
