Review of The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

I actually enjoyed watching this anime, I don't know why...lol :-) The first time I learned of this anime, it had a MyAnimeList score of 5.97. Decided to watch it for the Isekai description - I like Isekai genre I think/guess, to enjoy this anime, you have to just sit back, relax, don't think too much, and enjoy this anime for what it is, a very flawed anime that can still bring enjoyment to watchers. This does not have awesome battle scenes, does not have awesome sound, does not have awesome characters, but it has a fair amount of small story twists and slight development that kept meentertained.

Story (no spoilers - I think)
Don't expect this to be an Isekai anime. I think, the story could have been better, if the Isekai aspect was taken out. Isekai did not contributor to the story development at all, it was only used as fodder for the story. When I decided this anime is not Isekai and treated the Iseakai parts as an off-to-the-very-side side side story , I actually enjoyed it more.

Art
Does not have awesome battle scenes, Does not have smooth movement animation at times, Does not have great costumes (especially MC's costume), but in general, it works good enough for me to enjoy

Character
MC did not feel like an MC at all. The story felt like there were multiple MC, most of them were in the background. Not talking about his group, but the other side character that surrounds his group

Enjoyment
As i stated earlier, don't expect too much, don't think it's Isekai, DON'T THINK-JUST ENJOY, and give it a chance. If you do these things, you will enjoy this anime :-)
