Review of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations
My principle take is as follows - Boruto is no worse than the original title Boruto's plot is no worse than Naruto's plot. In many ways, it follows the tropes of the original, but at the same time, Boruto's story literally makes you believe in a certain plot twist... I'm talking about the main conflict that makes you wonder whether the main character is actually a good guy the action has always been questionable with the franchise, but now it's not a lot of ninja techniques, of which there were so many in the original that it made for stupid moments when the author himself no longerremembered what worked. In Boruto, there is usually one special technique for a character, and the entire action is an attempt to figure it out. Literally did fights with JoJo.
The only downside is that we lost that unique fantasy-ninja vibe for the post-apocalypse from the first seasons of Naruto. Boruto looks very plain in terms of setting, you've seen it many times already, just a fantasy future with robots.
I'm not a Naruto expert and I don't really understand these fanservice characters. This looks kind of stupid. But the main characters and new characters look acceptable.
I repeat that I don’t see that Boruto is definitely worse than Naruto and that this is not canon, I don’t see that. In general, this is something that you don’t need to waste time on, but it’s no worse
