Review of Tsukigakirei
In the past years , the romance genre has seen many changes and most of the recent shows we have seen are just mere copies of one another with loads of repeating cliches. And for that, i must really appertiate this show for actually bringing back the romance genres to its true roots and showing what it is really about. Tsuki ga kire is an original anime made by studio feel which follows mizuno Akane and Azumi kotaoru , two 3rd year middle school students who fell for each other in first sight and starting dating. Its a sweet and innocent anime about 2 peopleexperiencing love for the first time.
The characters make this anime a interesting and fresh experience . They show a somewhat awkward and shy behavior around each other and are really embarrassed to even talk face to face and use a phone to have conversations. They are not really sure how the love and dating works and sometimes relay on internet for solutions. This behavior is uncommon in most anime tho TBH this might be as close they can get to the reality.
The anime doesn't have a really strong story or a lot elements which might spice things up. Chinatsu and Takumi had crush on both the main characters.. Tho there really wasn't a strong feeling of jealousy and you might not even realize that for most of the anime. However that really is not a big issue here as it doesn't hold back the anime from being what its is now.
The art is somewhat of a big issue here. The anime uses CGI for a lot of scenes like the backgrounds and crowd characters which unfortunately is not done really good. The studio got lazy with character design and recycled the same face multiple times with just the hairstyle changed. The Music is fine with nothing to praise or complain about.
IN the end, its a simple, cute, and innocent tale of young love between two students. The anime is simple , but not bland or boring and shows the romance ,we've seen so far in other anime, in a different and fresh way. I would easily recommend this show to every fan of romance shows for its a fresh tale that is not really seen much nowadays.
