So, there are animes that have good plot, animes that have bad plot, and animes that have more plot holes than grandma's cheese. Guess which one the Ancient Magus's Bride fit in? None. None of the aboves. This anime have almost no plot I have a hard time giving story score to something that doesnt exist. Lets get on with my chronological watch review then. Around 4 first eps, I was like wow this anime is so awesome, the world in it is so beautiful with all kinds of spirits/fairy/elf... It looked so promising that I recommended it to my friend. The music and theart is very good, especially at the part where TITania first appeared.
And then, halfway watching it, I started to wonder what this anime is really about, and I had completely no idea. It's like watching a slice of life of dozens of oddballs (you may call it adventure but usually adventure stories have a goal). But you cant actually blame the anime though, the name is Ancient Magus's Bride so it's fair that it's a slice of life between the Ancient Magus and his Bride.
When I finally got to see something mildly resemble a "plot", I looked at the ep number. It was ep 18, the final arc. There is so much to ask about this arc, and not much to praise for. Watching the final arc made me feel like the author just shoved into viewers/ a**es everything he has in his mind, and dont give a crap if the viewer understand it or not.
*Minor spoiler here*
Why is that Ashen Eyes is the antagonist jumped out every times. Does he even have a motivation to make our heroes's life harder? Don't tell me it's because being antagonist is "fun", because it's lazy writing.
*Spoiler ends here*
I have actually so many questions, but Ancient Magus's Bride is so forgettable that after finishing the anime for one hour nothing remains in my mind, except Titania of course.
All the above was about story. I gave it 5.

Art: 9. The art is good in some aspects, especially with landscape. Character's art is so so.
Sound: 9. ED and OP is really forgettable. but the actual special tracks (Titania's entrance, Lindel's flower dance) is amazingly good. Some atmospheric tracks are repetitive.
Character: 9 Since I put this anime as slice of life, most of the anime is about the characters. Chise is very annoying toward the end of the series, but the anime success in showing how annoying she is, and I find Ancient Magus's Bride's characters are quite detailed.
Enjoyment: 7 I dozed off a few times watching this anime, so cant say I really enjoy it. That being said, this anime is quite pleasant to watch, just not interesting at all. This anime is not the type that make me want to join a group discussing about this anime, google what it's main story, asking questions that I didnt understand,... In a nutshell, the Ancient Magus's Bride is forgettable.

actually my enjoyment should be 1 because they also didnt bother to explain why TITanina's assess (you know what) shrank during the last arc.
