Hitsuji no Kawa wo Kita Kemono · review
It shouldn't have ended with a redemption arc because Keigo doesn't deserve a good ending that he had, and Daichi should've not involved himself with him anymore. Let's say what Daichi feels was more like Stockholm syndrome, he got attached to someone who imprisoned his feelings and used it against him. While it started out pretty strongly, an a-hole scammer, and the story line was good, I feel like it could've taken a different turn. I understand it was a bl story and most bl stories ends on a happy note, but not all stories need to end in a typical sense because looking atthe direction of this story, it could of just them getting closure and parting ways. There was nothing wrong with a different kind of happy ending where one or both parties grow separately. Heck, Keigo needs to be in jail more than 4 years than that. I don't even sympathize with his character since the beginning to the end because I don't see any potential in there at all. Their relationship was based solely on one person holding on to it and the other taking advantage of the situation. That kind of relationship was toxic from the start and is bound to break sooner than later. Sigh. (what a rant)
