I think MAL is genuinely gutting this show for no particular reason. I'll try to go through it as simple as I can without spoiling too much (which is hard as is considering the nature of this anime). Basically this is a very story-heavy death game (similar to things like say Danganronpa or Ousama Game) where your wits are your best ally to get through and survive. The main character finds himself looking at an unusual message on his screen during an IT class at school and asks the teacher about it only for it to disappear. The day after this short event the premiseof the story becomes very apparent.

Basically to give a short summary, this is a survival/Death game at first where everyone participating / surviving has special powers (Rights, or Special Priviliges loosely translated) that can help them. The main cast is a group of students sticking together to try and work through this death game with the main antagonist being the "Emperor" causing votings that kill many people.

You gradually get introduced to more and more characters that become integral to the story, the story itself will kick it up a notch after a slow start (let's say 3-5 episodes before it kicks up a gear and speeds up drastically) and have tons of plot twists lurking in the corner for you. This anime will take you for a loop and throw surprises at you left and right to keep you engaged, the action is good, writing of the story is definitely up there and the characters are pretty good sticking to their core beliefs throughout the show.

Give this series a chance till the end and you probably won't regret it. I'd give it a good 8/10 cause it pleasantly surprised me after the slower first episodes. Genuinely not bad at all, ignore all the people that just shit on it for the first few episodes and dropped it.
