Spoiler warning
This review may discuss plot details.
This work is a manga that skillfully blends human drama and fantasy action in a way that feels both familiar yet unprecedented. Amidst depictions of life and death, the protagonist's growth unfolds, while simultaneously, characters possessing unique supernatural abilities deliver breathtaking battles with unrestrained power. However, the main story has effectively concluded with the currently published 12 volumes, and I see no point in continuing it further. If this work were to continue beyond this point, it would become a complete superfluous addition. Another concern I have is whether the abilities of the characters can be understood by readers outside Japan. While those familiar with Japanese should graspit, the language contains countless unique phrases and expressions. Many of the explained psychic powers rely heavily on such expressions, making this manga potentially difficult for readers unfamiliar with Japanese. Indeed, the fact that I am currently the only reviewer writing critiques on this site lends some weight to this observation.
However, if asked whether this is a flaw in the work, I would immediately answer, “No, it isn't.” In fact, I believe it's more accurate to say this is the work's most compelling feature.Since this manga wasn't produced for an overseas audience, if non-Japanese speakers find it incomprehensible, they can simply choose not to read it.
(Incidentally, since English is not my native language, I'm reading this work in its original language (Japanese). That said, it doesn't mean I can't speak English at all.)
Despite its flaws, I believe it's worth reading and can recommend it.
